  • HESPERIA — A Victorville man is due to be arraigned Wednesday after Hesperia authorities arrested him over the weekend on suspicion of felony child endangerment.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sue Rose said a person called Saturday just after 5 p.m. reporting they had found a 4-year-old child running on the road in the area of Arrowhead Lake Road and Highway 173. The child was crying and saying he was lost.
She said deputies were able to locate witnesses and discovered the boy’s uncle had left the child and drove off.
Frank Croenne, 32, was arrested at his home in the 15200 block of Seneca Road in Victorville approximately two hours after he allegedly left the victim in the remote desert area south of Hesperia, Rose said.
Croenne is being held at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville courthouse on Wednesday afternoon.
