  • Couple arrested after fleeing from deputies

  • HESPERIA — A man and woman were arrested on Bear Valley Road in Hesperia on Thursday morning after San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said the two were fighting and attempted to flee from deputies.
    Sheriff’s officials said the couple was at the Day and Night Inn in the 14800 block of Bear Valley Road when deputies received a call of a male and female screaming and fighting. Authorities said deputies attempted to make contact, but the two tried to flee.
    Luis Corella, 36, of Hesperia, was arrested and cited on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
    Cindy Lindley, 28, of Victorville, was arrested on suspicion of felony resisting a peace officer. She is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on $50,000 bail. Court records show she is scheduled to be arraigned in Victorville on Monday afternoon.
