  • The Hesperia Airport recently played host to a unique visitor: a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro.
The new car was featured in a photo shoot aimed at making the public aware of a raffle for the car, proceeds of which will be donated to Folds of Honor Foundation and Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House, according to a news release.
Just Cruzin’ Productions, a family owned event company from Redlands, is teaming up with Tom Bell Chevrolet and many other sponsors to offer a chance to win the vehicle. Raffle tickets are available for a $10 donation each to the Just Cruzin’ Life Foundation, which will then donate all proceeds to the two non-profit groups.
According to the release, Just Cruzin’ Productions puts on a large event every year in Pismo Beach, this year marking the 30th anniversary of the Mothers Polish Classic.
Mike Davidson of Just Cruzin’ Productions has big numbers in sight for what the company hopes to raise for the charities.
“Last year we donated $25,000 to the Folds of Honor Foundation and this year I've got a lofty goal of reaching $200,000 in total donations thru the contributions and efforts of people that selflessly give to our charities,” Davidson said in a written statement. “You’re not just taking a chance to win a cool car, you’re changing the lives of families whose mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, wifes and more have given their lives to protect our country.
“You truly are making a difference and we want you to know how important this worthy cause is to us.”
The Folds of Honor Foundation provides support for the families of military service members. Its vision is for every spouse and dependent of a wounded or fallen service member to have the financial opportunity to pursue higher education.
The Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House provides a place for families to stay together while children receive treatment at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The Camaro is set to make appearances at many large and local events in raising awareness for the fundraiser. Those who wish to have the car visit their event and those who wish to participate in the fundraiser by donating money for raffle tickets should call Just Cruzin’ Productions at 909-363-4682.
