Thanks to the Rotary Club of the High Desert, pups of all sizes now have some new toys to drool over at the Lime Street Dog Park.

This is the second donation to the dog park from the Rotary Club, making a day at the park more entertaining and exciting for canines and owners alike.

“(We) hope to continue to add more amenities each year,” said Rhonda Pfeiffer, President of the Rotary Club of the High Desert.

Both sections of the park — one for dogs that weigh 25 pounds or more, and the other for dogs under 25 pounds — were revamped with new sturdy hoops that dogs can jump through.

The funds for purchasing the new equipment were derived from proceeds of the Rotary's annual Pet Walk at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park and were installed on Sept. 7.

While there is plenty to see and do for the dogs at the park, there is even a shaded bench area for owners to relax under and make sure their furry friends are playing fair.

For each play area throughout the park, there will be access to a waste area as well as a water station. Etiquette and overall dog park rules will also be found in various areas of the park to keep everyone safe and to ensure a good time is had.

The dog park is located at 16292 Lime St. If you have any canine or safety related questions visit HesperiaParks.com for more information.
