Hesperia police arrest two for daytime drunk driving

Two motorists were arrested in December for drunk driving in the afternoon.

Alicia Forstner, 61, of Pomona, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. on Dec. 14 after she was involved in a two-vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of Main Street and Maple Avenue. She was arrested for driving under the influence, and was released to the care of her parents and adult children.

Forty-five minutes later, Hesperia resident Diana Garvin, 41, was arrested on Third Avenue, after she lost control of her vehicle and flipped it. San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies allegedly determined alcohol to have been a factor in the incident and she was arrested for driving under the influence and released to the care of her husband.
