Citizens on Patrol academy

Are you seeking a unique, rewarding way of helping your community and local law enforcement? If you are an adult, being a Citizen on Patrol volunteer may be just the ticket for you.

Hesperia Sheriff's Department will be holding a Citizens on Patrol Academy beginning September 22. This 40-hour training program covers a variety of law enforcement related topics.

Applications must be submit by Friday, August 22. Hesperia residents may contact Roxanne Walker, from the Hesperia station, at 947-1549.

All academy dates are mandatory. Monday evening classes are held from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 22, 29, October 6, 13 and 20. Saturday classes are held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 27, October 4, 11 and 18.
