| Has anyone seen the police link on the district's website? Is that new? |

| You would think there would be more parent involvement. Parents are very busy trying to keep their jobs to support their lifestyle and homes. What about the parents who are out of work? They should take ownership and be accountable. WHERE ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER OPENS. I think this means if you've lost your job, take advantage of the time to help your community or kid's schools by attending meetings and meeting with school officials. The HUSD has parent meetings with the superintendent if you call the district's secretary Deb. Looking for work is priority but that doesnt take all day to apply for jobs. THE SCHOOL CAN DO MORE, TOO. They can send better notices about parent club
meetings. BE MORE PERSUASIVE AND INSIST MORE PARENTS ATTEND OR PRINT THE MEETINGS NOTES/MINUTES FOR ANYONE WHO REQUESTS THEM. Mission Crest principal Mrs. Murphy has an awesome system to notify parents by email. These are just some ways to inspire and motivate parents to become involved. It still takes some action from the parents what they do with the information. |

| We need the school police. They do an excellent job. I do think though that teachers and administrators could do more about the theft problem. Kids getting their lunch money lifted during class time should be addressed. Not sure what the answer is but it certainly should not be ignored or blamed on the poor kid who was the victim. |

| To "good ol days", because school principals and assistant principals do not have the authority to make arrests or give citations when crimes are committed. Or do you think things like marijuana possession, weapons possession or theft should just be treated with time outs? |

| WE WANT MORE INFO ON THESE INCIDENTS. THIS LOG LACKS DETAILS. What really happened? The sheriff's log cites the offense in more detail. Why cant the school police log be similar? Do they operate under different rules or agenda? |

| What happened to the days when these same offenses were handled by the principal or the assistant principal? Why do we now need the police involved? |
