Oakwood Market robbed

Two men robbed a Mariposa Road convenience store Sunday night.

At approximately 10:13 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to an emergency call from the Oakwood Market on the 12000 block of Mariposa Road.

The victim -- a store employee -- told deputies that two black male adults entered the store armed with silver handguns. One reportedly waited at the front door while the other man held a gun to the victim's back and demanded money from the store's cash register. The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and a number of rolled coins from a tin box.

Both suspects left the vicinity in a white newer-model Toyota Camry or Tercel. At the time of the robbery, they were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and jeans.

Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department at 947-1500 or call the anonymous tip line at (800) 782-7463.
