Sheriff's Log - March 28, 2008

March 23, 2008

  • Two men were arrested for being drunk in public near the intersection of Main Street and 7th Avenue after a non-injury traffic collision. Deputies were unable to determine which of the two was driving at the time of the incident.
  • A 1985 gray Mitsubishi Mighty Max pick-up truck with a red cab was stolen overnight from the driveway of a location on the 15000 block of Eucalyptus Street.
  • A male motorist was arrested near the intersection of 7th Avenue and Bear Valley Road for possession of marijuana.
  • A juvenile was cited for shoplifting near the intersection of Main Street and C Avenue after employees detained him at the store.

March 24, 2008

  • A liquor store on the 15800 block of Main Street was burglarized overnight. Cash, alcohol and cigarettes were stolen.
  • A motorist stopped for running a stop sign at E Avenue and Lemon Street was arrested for possession of marijuana and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant issued in La Verne.
  • A vehicle was burglarized on the 16000 block of Main Street. The passenger side window of the vehicle was smashed and a purse stolen.

March 26, 2008

  • A business on the 16100 Main Street was burglarized overnight.
  • A vehicle was burglarized overnight on the 9400 block of Palo Verde Drive, and a laptop computer was stolen.
  • An accused tagger was arrested for resisting an officer near the intersection of I Avenue and Buckthorn Avenue. With one hand cuffed, the suspect attempted to flee the arresting deputy. When placed in the back of a patrol car, he kicked out one window before being hobbled.
  • A male motorist was arrested near the intersection of Interstate 15 and Main Street for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent.
