Hesperia’s R.O.P./Adult Cosmetology students are planning to host the sixth annual “Cuts & Cuticles for a Cure” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The students will be providing haircuts for $5 and up, manicures for $5 and pedicures for $8 (cash only for all services) with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society Hesperia Relay for Life event.
The Cosmo crew asks residents to join them in their efforts to fundraise for the Hesperia Relay for Life event. Ready to serve customers will be cosmetology teachers Michelle Robinson, Tammy Baldwin and Katie McLaughlin with their many qualified and talented students.
Cuts & Cuticles for a Cure will be held at the After Image Salon located at the Hesperia Alternative Ed Center, 16527 Lemon St. Walk-ins are welcome or call 760-244-1771, ext.134 for an appointment.
Relay for Life is a 24-hour walking event, involving teams supporting the American Cancer Society’s mission to educate, fundraise for research and fight back against cancer. The 11th annual Hesperia Relay for Life event will be held beginning at 10 a.m. April 16 at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park and will feature an opening ceremony lap celebrating survivors and caretakers.
