HESPERIA — Families are invited to come enjoy free movie nights at Hesperia Civic Center Park every other Saturday through Aug. 19.

Movies begin at dusk and families are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. The next movie event is Saturday with the showing of “The Lego Batman Movie.”

“We have a food vendor. We also have Route 103 radio hand out glow sticks. The Girl Scouts come out. It’s a really relaxing time,” Hesperia Recreation and Park District staff assistant Sarah Hauser said. “Depending on the weather, anywhere from 400 to 700 people come out.

“With our 60th anniversary, we’re here to make life better and offer whatever we can to the community. This is a way for us to give to the community and bring families to the park.”

Hesperia Civic Plaza Park is located at 15833 Smoke Tree St., in Hesperia. For more information call 760-244-5488.
