Four arrested following Hesperia break-in
Gang member found with pistol, assault rifle
HESPERIA • Four suspects — including a gang member carrying an assault rifle — were arrested following a break-in, after Hesperia detectives tracked the burglars down at several locations throughout Hesperia and Victorville.
Hesperia deputies responded to a report early Monday morning of a residential burglary that occurred in the 9000 block of Topaz Avenue, in between Poplar Street and Dartmouth Avenue, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.
After identifying suspects and securing search warrants for three homes, a team of Hesperia detectives and members of the Hesperia Gang Detail served a warrant at an address in the 9800 block of Pyrite Avenue and arrested documented gang member Alex Quezada. Quezada, 29, had a .22-caliber pistol and an illegal SKS assault rifle with a 30-round clip and folding stock. SKS assault rifles were commonly used by Eastern Bloc and Asian militaries prior to the 1950s.
Hesperia deputies Brenden Keim and Osvaldo Pelayes were also sent to a Victorville home where three suspects — Miguel Fierro, Anthony Garcia and Noe Guevara — drove up and were quickly arrested despite their attempt to escape.
Fierro, 24, Garcia, 24, and Guevara, 27, were all booked at Victor Valley Jail for burglary charges and are being held on $75,000 bail. Garcia and Guevara are both also being held on two outstanding warrants. All three have records in San Bernardino County for various crimes, court documents show.
Quezada was also booked at Victor Valley Jail and was charged for being a felon carrying a loaded firearm, possession of prohibited ammunition and illegal possession of an assault weapon. Quezada was then released after posting a $35,000 bail.
