Moose Lodge hosts annual Halloween event

Nearly 30 children enjoy a costume contest, trick-or-treating and more

STAR EDITOR

Typically, the Moose Lodge in Hesperia is a place for men and women to gather together to share a conversation, imbibe or enjoy a meal. But on Saturday, Oct. 24, the local lodge showed that it is much more.

“It’s fun. We enjoy doing this for the chldren,” said Carol Rowell, a Women of the Moose member who organized the annual Halloween Party for local children.

This year, 27 children came in costumes and participated in games, contests, trick-or-treating and more.

Next, Rowell said, the club will hold its annual Christmas party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on on Dec. 19 for the youngsters.

“We’re more than just a club,” she said.
