Last week's Family Resource Fair featured more than 30 agencies.

School district holds Family Resource Fair

STAR EDITOR

More than 30 agencies and programs gathered for the second annual Family Resource Fair last Wednesday afternoon.

"I'm really excited," said Amy Goode, a social worker for the Hesperia Unified School District. "We had a good turnout."

As a school district social worker, Goode helps to provide a link between the school, home and community.

The event, which attracted parents, students and community members, served as a one-stop location for interested parties to get information on a wide cross section of services.

Attending agencies included First 5 Dental, the HUSD ROP, the American Heart Association, St. Mary's Medical Center, Spring Non-profit Consumer Counseling, Victor Valley College, Hesperia Recreation and Park District, YMCA, WIC, Kids N Care, the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, Jolly Wally the Clown and more.

The event was held in the school district's building C, which is commonly used as a training center.
