OAK HILLS 19, HESPERIA 4: Through the first three Mojave River League games, Oak Hills has outscored its opponents 47-6. While the offense has been on display — especially during Friday’s 19-4 win over Hesperia — Bulldogs coach Kelli Rios wanted to give the credit to her team’s defense, which didn’t commit an error against the Scorpions.

APPLE VALLEY 5, SULTANA 0: At Hesperia, Manny Rodriguez and the Sun Devils shut out the Sultans (7-5, 1-2 MRL) in a Mojave River League game on Friday. “He just dominated us,” Sultana coach Dave Hill said. “He’s a horse.”

HESPERIA 7, SULTANA 3: At Hesperia, the Scorpions (4-8, 2-0 MRL) jumped out to a 5-1 lead with help from the Sultans’ defense on the way to a Mojave River League win Wednesday. Sultana (7-4, 1-1 MRL) committed four errors in the first inning alone, and Hesperia’s Joey Martinez hit a two-run double in the inning.

OAK HILLS 15, SERRANO 2: At Phelan, Daylon Anten hit a home run and a triple to help the Bulldogs (5-8, 1-1 MRL) rout the Diamondbacks in a Mojave River League game Wednesday. Anten was 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Logan Griffin went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, and Nick Muckenthaler was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Tommy Anderson allowed two runs and struck out three without walking a batter in six innings.

REDLANDS EAST VALLEY 12, HESPERIA 2; REDLANDS EAST VALLEY 9, HESPERIA 5: At Redlands, the Scorpions (5-13) were swept in a doubleheader on Saturday. Hesperia’s Vanessa Hernandez went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, and Macie Christian was 1-for-3 with a double in the first game. In the second game, Adriana Romero and Monique Aldana were both 2-for-3 with a double, and Romero had an RBI. Brittany Castaneda went 2-for-2 with a double.

APPLE VALLEY 10, SULTANA 0: At Apple Valley, Grayson Harvey pitched a one-hit shutout and struck out seven to lead the Sun Devils to a Mojave River League win via mercy rule on Friday. Hailey Baca went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three stolen bases, Morgan Lyneis went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs and Precious Herrera finished 2-for-3 with two runs to lead the way offensively.

UNIVERSITY PREP 9, HESPERIA CHRISTIAN 4: At Victorville, the Jaguars scored two runs in the fourth and three in the fifth to pull away from the Patriots in a nonleague game on Thursday. Jeni Arreola, Ashley Hurst and Emilee Helm had two hits apiece for Hesperia Christian (1-4), and Helm had two RBIs.

SULTANA 13, HESPERIA 10: At Hesperia, the Sultans outscored the Scorpions in a Mojave River League game. Madisyn Larabell went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs for Sultana (3-8, 1-1 MRL).

OAK HILLS 17, SULTANA 1: At Hesperia, the Bulldogs dominated Sultana (5-3, 1-3) to improve to 4-0 in Mojave River League play on Friday. Oak Hills swept in doubles. Jeremy Orescanin swept his matches 6-0, 6-2, 6-0.

HESPERIA 16, SERRANO 2: At Hesperia, the Scorpions (7-1, 3-1 MRL) won eight of nine sets in both singles and doubles in a Mojave River League victory over the Diamondbacks (1-2 MRL) Wednesday.

OAK HILLS 16, APPLE VALLEY 2: At Apple Valley, No. 1 singles player Jeremy Orescanin did not drop a game as the Bulldogs cruised to a Mojave River League win Wednesday.
