Greetings from Junior Rodeo Queen Carissa Miller

Hello rodeo fans! This is going to be an exciting year for me as your Hesperia Recreation and Park District Jr. Rodeo queen.

I’m a cowgirl at heart, and I’m not afraid of good old fashion hard work. I enjoy swimming, snowboarding, dancing, and having fun with friends. I attend Options for Youth where I have met tons of new people. With the support of a loving family I plan to go to college and be a veterinarian. I love teaching little kids the basics of riding, and enjoy the smiles on their faces. I love helping out with community functions in many ways including fundraisers and the public activities.

I have always wanted to represent Hesperia since I was a little girl, and I was ecstatic when they put that crown on my hat!

I attend two gymkhana groups. They are Hesperia Horsemen and the Hesperia Wranglers. I enjoy going to rodeos with my horse “Missy” and having fun barrel racing. As a rodeo queen I will have the opportunity to assist at local rodeos, represent Hesperia at important events, and have a positive influence on the equestrian lifestyle. I am learning how to rope and really enjoy the adrenaline rush I get when I run out of the box.

My horse “Annie” means the world to me, and she’s my best friend. I have worked with baby horses and a variety of personalities of adult horses. I love trail riding with friends and family. I feel each day is much more enjoyable with smiles and laughter. Hope to see you soon, and happy trails.
