All lies?
Hardy Black and Robert Kirk just don't get it. After the recall attempt failed to gather enough signatures, Mr. Black went on record as saying the process was a personal agenda and that the charges were all lies. Dr. Kirk even gave the voters credit for being smart enough not to sign the recall petitions.
Allow me to clear some misunderstanding up. The fact is, the recall petition failed because it was grossly mismanaged. Proponents waited over a month and a half before they began to collect signatures, and when they did, they were hardly ever found gathering. I was probably the most eager to sign the petition, but wasn't able to until February. I even volunteered to help gather signatures, but they never took me up on my offer. This recall failed because it was never the proponents' intent to go though with it, or they were too incompetent to succeed.
But lets get back to the real issue, the one that isn't a lie. When Hank Richardson was terminated/resigned, he was paid $331,050 for not a single day's work. This amounts to nothing more then stealing from the taxpayers. Those voters who were so smart not to sign the recall petitions have to work 10 years, at the average income of $34,000 per year, to earn that amount of money. Apparently Mr. Black and Dr. Kirk can't see what's wrong with this transaction. Giving Mr. Richardson $331,050 for nothing amounts to embezzlement, a white-collar crime.
And what time does HUSD board serve for this? They get to keep their jobs, don't go to jail while Mr. Richardson laughs all the way to the bank. The former Mayor of Adelanto, Jim Nehmens, resigned for taking $20,000 and may do time for that, if convicted. Hank Richardson took 16 times that amount, and nothing. I'm flabbergasted that our system of government allows this stuff to happen, legally. I'm sad that those in charge of the recall were too inept to pull it off successfully. And, I'm amazed at the thinking of Hardly Black and Robert Kirk, who just don't seem to get it.
As I've mentioned before, our family as 3 children attending the Hesperia Unified School District with a 4th on the way. The fact that the school board could get away with giving such a large amount of money to a single person and not be held accountable is astonishing. Now that the recall as ended, the only thing left is to wait until the next election. But no matter what happens, the money won't be returned to the school district for use on education. Something terrible happened, no one in the community seems to care but me, and all parties involved get away Scott free. What a great nation it is that we live in.

| Can we post above the 3rd grade level. Can we stop making claims with nothing to back it up. And can someone translate the last post for me. |

| No, I'm sure Helen and Bruce will not run again. Who in their right mind would serve on any board with those three? HTA had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for the last election. How will they find 2 more simpletons in Hesperia? Oh yeah. There's Chris Bentley and Lee Samuels. Those are the only two left who meet HTA's strict new requirements of stupidity and lack of morals. Brace yourselves HUSD. You thought the three stooges were bad. Just wait till there's five. |

| Speaking of elections. The next two seats open are Mintons and Helen Rogers. With Helen Rogers knee surgery and the strife on the board will she run again. Mintons recent heart attack and nonsense on the board will he run again. Maybe Neilson and Gogley can take recall money and put it towards two candidates like we all know the union is going to do to get more Union representation on the board. |

| True, I agree. Lee Rogers is right in there with Black and Kirk. To be upset with Kirk and Black and not Lee Rogers is not enough. |

| With LA cities new budget they are hiring additional police, but doing away with most of the jobs that are not currently filled. I agree with that approach. If a department is currently doing the work then do they really need the position. If the district is currently doing the work then do we need an assistant sup in personel. |

| He is not for management unless they are hand picked by the three. Which means some form of loyalty to the Union. As much as it pains me, Black is right about appointing a Chief of Police. The department has to have one person in charge and accountable for the safety and security of the kids. A police department of any size won't function properly with multiple people running it. |

| Hardy Black still doesn't get it. At the Board meeting Monday night, he asked that 6 Food Service positions be pulled from the agenda because the perception would be bad that we are hiring when there is a budget crisis. Even after it was pointed out that Food Service positions are paid for by Food Service profits and not the General Fund, he still wanted the positions pulled. Later, in closed session, he voted to appoint the Chief of Police and the Assistant Superintendent of Personnel, two management positions. If we aren't hiring, we aren't hiring. He's against 3 hour Classified but for Management. |

| You are absolutely right about Kirk and Black, but Ella Lee Rogers is just as guilty as the other two. She
has voted on everything the other two have. Remember, they vowed to vote as a block no matter what the issue, whether moral or immoral, and most of their votes have been the latter. |
